Disturbance Rejection Performance Comparison of PSO and ZN Methods for Various Disturbance Frequencies

In this study Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) control of brushed DC Motor is analyzed. The parameters the PID controller are tuned with two different approaches, namely Ziegler-Nichols (ZN) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). system tested under sinusoidal disturbance varying frequencies in order to evaluate compare rejection performances. It shown that PSO approach has clearly higher performance compared ZN for all frequencies. Simulations done using Python programming language trapezoid rule differentiation integration. Results given both figures tables. Comments on results future planned.
